Last Sunday night our church hosted the annual Christmas Cafe for our congregation. Young and old alike come to share hot drinks and listen to festive music. Helder Hall was decorated beautifully with trees and lights and folks enjoyed deserts by candle light. It was a truly beautiful evening!
This was one of our entertainment groups. They did a lovely job!
I had a great time serving tables and socializing with friends!
My Mom and Grandpa
All in all the night was amazing and everyone loved it!
On Sunday we (we Frey ladies and girls) visited Grandma's Craft show in Red Lion. I really enjoyed seeing different people's talents and artistic expressions. I have to confess, those little bird things were just the absolute cutest little things ever!
I just love Autumn! It has to be the most beautiful time of the year! The leaves have the most stunning colors! Could you imagine being there when God created all this and been able to watch Him form every shade of orange and red and green and yellow? That must have been so amazing! Thank you Jesus!
I was so glad I was able to get these few pictures! After hurricane Sandy hit, there were no more beautiful leaves on the trees or the ground. Doesn't it make you wonder why God allows such things to happen? But one thing that i have noticed is that when disaster strikes, people tend to pull together. Even former enemies will help their neighbor in need. I know its really bad in New York right now, but the people there are helping each other and sharing what little they themselves have. Its just amazing!
I know I just got way off topic, but I just thought I needed to say that.
I went over to a good friend's house yesterday to study and work on a commentary for the class I'm in at church. We worked for 2 1/2 hours, but then we decided to do some hair. Naturally! When ever I go over to this friend's house we always do hair or makeup or something. That girl is so talented! I just love it.
Anyway, so here's the do:
Isn't is just gorgeous? I love it! Thanks Kristen!
I absolutely love Autumn as I'm sure a lot of you do, but when I stop and think that thanksgiving is next month and Christmas is only two months away, I find myself saddened. Life just seems to go rushing past and I'm left standing in the dust wondering what happened. I just turned 16 and it feels like these past fifteen years have been wasted doing pointless things that are just gone...gone like the wind. I have been a part of a Sunday school and a bible study that have really been a help to me. I feel like my life has a purpose and I should use it to glorify my awesome Creator. But life has its pulls as well. I think the big thing is how busy life makes us. I know for me, especially now that school has started, I dont have much time for anything. My bible study and Sunday school assignments are the things that have been pushed aside, which is so wrong. I know that's something I really need to wok on, but it's hard...it's so hard. Prayer would be sooooo appreciated!
Thank you all for your prayers and love!
Well, for those of you that know me personally, you probably knew that I couldn't stay away forever! I miss you guys and all the fun I've had blogging in the past. It's kinda funny now that I really think about it. I didn't seem to have any time to blog over the summer when there's supposed to be nothing going on, but now in the winter when there's school and homework and everything else, I seem to find time. Oh well. Bottom line is: It's good to be back!
I decided to delete my other blog and start afresh now that I'm 16. It seems like maybe I may have a bit of a different view on life now...somehow maybe.
Anyway, so this post is nothing really...just saying that I'm back for now!
